Brass Plastic Moulding Insert

A general-purpose brass insert engineered for embedding in a wide range of thermoplastic materials including ABS, polycarbonate, nylon, POM, HDPE, LDPE, PP, and PEEK. Features opposing diagonal knurling for exceptional resistance to both torque and tensile loads. Available in metric (M2–M12) and UNC/UNF thread sizes. Can be installed via heat-staking (using heated press tools that melt surrounding plastic), ultrasonic insertion, or direct mould-in during injection moulding. Common in automotive interior parts, sensor housings, GPS enclosures, PCB standoffs, and aerospace overhead compartment components.
